If you've ever read that Kid Kenobi bio that alot of music press have failed to update since 1999, you'll know that Kid Kenobi and Hugga Thugg's Dad is an incredibly accomplished musician in his own right, a highly talented Afro Caribbean percussionist born in South Africa, who made his first ever drum kit from plastic bottles and tin cans.
From such humble beginnings in percussion he pionerred the Soca style in Australia for decades. Today, as Konscious Pilot, he currently performs with DJs around his homebase in the northern rivers region from small club shows to large scale festivals such as SummaFieldDayze. With his sons, he's also performed as the Nu Dub Crew, a multi deck & percussion show which launched at Playground Weekender 2008 after a week in the studio which resulted in a very yummy bunch of soulful, soca calypso originals.
