Hey guys!
Just wanted to say a massive thankyou for all your support this year!
Whether it was a like, a follow, a favour, a tweet, some feedback, a beer, or just a whaddup at a gig THANKYOU!
It's been the biggest year of my life without a doubt. From becoming self managed for the first time in 10 years, to running a record label on my own (after only minor flying by the seat of my pants 'training'), to becoming a Dad for the first time ever (all in the space of 3 months) it's been EPIC!
But ironically it's also been one of my most productive. 2011 saw me releasing two EP's, a Too Fresh single, 16 remixes, a compilation for One Love, touring with the 'Big Day Out', signing two new acts to Klub Kids, playing over a hundred gigs, and somewhere in the midst it all squeezing in a kitchen renovation. Yes it's been mentalist. Even though a friend of ours described having a child as akin to 'throwing a hand grenade into the middle of a relationship', ultimately none of this would have been possible without the love, structure, and meaning my partner Kelli and daughter Ayanna have given to my life.
Long story short I just wanted to say thanks! And as thanks I decided to put the hustle on a follow up to my 'Soulstep Vol. 1' mix. From hippies sitting around campfires at 'Burning Man' to soldiers listening to iPods on their way to trainning in Afghanistan this one really seemed to strike a chord (no pun intended). Plus it's full of love, so naturally I thought it would make the perfect Kenobi Kristmas gift for y'all!

Too Fresh For 2012 Remix Competition

In lieu of their 2012 Australian national tour the Too Fresh boys will be re-reasling their 2009 club smash 'Too Fresh'with some brand new remixes (including a brand new Moombahton remix from the boys themselves). These will feature alongside the classic original and smashing Lee Mortimer remix (both from 2009).

To celebrate we are offering you the chance to be a part of this epic release by submitting your very own remix. The winner will get a full release on Klub Kids Records alongside these mixes and more (soon to be announced).

DEADLINE for submissions is JANUARY 10th, 2012.

Skrillex: 5 Grammy Nominations!

"Whether it's on an acoustic guitar or if it's on a computer, music's music, and the most important thing about music is the emotional impact it has on people and culture," says Skrillex when questoined by MTV about his five Grammy nominations.

Skrillex is up against The Band Perry Bon Iver, Nicki Minaj and J. Cole. Dance music is usually restrained to the Best Dance Recording category, so this is a significant moment considering he's the first DJ to ever be nominated in this category!

Karton - Album Release!

Hey y'all!

We are very proud to announce that Klub Kids has just released its first ever album thanks to the astoundingly talented artists known as Karton from Canberra (Australia). The album - 'Find The Constant' - has received some brilliant and well deserved feedback (see below) as well as radio support from JJJ (amoung others).

'Find The Constant' is now available on iTunes Australia with the rest of the world to follow shortly on Sound Of Habib. I
In celebration of the release the boys have also done a brand new mix as well as deciding to give away - for free - the epic Doctor Werewolf megamix of their first single 'Bang'. Links below - bloggers go crazy!

One of our favourite acts here at Klub Kids are about to drop a new album, 'Raise The Devil' out 11.11.11 (Beatport version 26th October).
